How's the vintage 2020?

The vegetative period between spring and early summer last year was mild and typical. Luck was on our side and saved us from the late frosts that had caused a lot of damage to our vineyards in previous years. The hot and dry climate favored a slightly early flowering and, following the rhythm of nature, our families of winemakers began the harvest at the end of August.

During the weeks of the harvest, the weather was humid and rainy and this prompted us to work and secure all the grapes delivered in the record time of four weeks. We have managed to face all the challenges that Mother Nature has proposed to us, and we are more than satisfied with our new vintage.

Our white wines and, in particular, the Burgundian varieties such as Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio have delicately fruity aromas and are fresh and lively on the palate. Even the most aromatic varieties such as Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon, Riesling and Goldenmuskateller surprise with their elegant delicacy.

The red wines, on the other hand, are oriented towards roundness: Lagrein, but also Merlot and Cabernet are pleasantly elegant and velvety. Pinot Noir and Schiava wines are fruity, floral and delicate.

The wines of this vintage have lower alcohol levels than those of previous years and, for this reason, they are characterized above all by their elegance and finesse.
